Everything inside

A writing studio with the craft of a bindery

Aether is built for people who want their writing to feel like a book while it is still being written and to leave as a finished, shareable, downloadable volume.

A book, not a document

Write on parchment inside a two-page spread with visible page and cover thickness. Turning a page bends the sheet, catches the light and plays a real page-turn sound.

·Open-book spread, both pages editable
·Cover opens with a leather thud
·Folios printed bottom-right

Covers you design

Choose leather, cloth or suede in a range of dyes, then stamp the front in gold, silver or copper foil with an ornate, deco, celestial or minimal motif.

·Three materials, many dyes
·Foil-stamped motifs
·Spine ridges and gilded page block

Artwork anywhere

Drop PNGs onto the cover or any page, drag them freely with vertical and horizontal guides, rotate to any angle, crop non-destructively, and layer behind or in front of the text.

·Drag, resize, rotate, crop
·Snap guides for alignment
·Behind-text or in-front layering

Contents that writes itself

Every chapter you add takes its place in a living table of contents, with unlimited pages per chapter and word counts for the page and the whole volume.

·Unlimited chapters and pages
·Live word counts
·Reorderable chapter list

Autosave and cross-device sync

Each sentence is saved the moment it lands and streamed to your other devices in realtime. Sync never overwrites text you're actively typing.

·Debounced autosave plus manual save
·Realtime sync on laptop, phone and PC
·Typing-aware conflict guard

Exports for every shelf

Download a print-ready PDF, a reflowable ePub, a Word-compatible document, or clean plain text with page breaks and folios preserved.

·PDF, ePub, DOC, TXT
·A5 print layout
·Page breaks respected

Publish a reading link

Flip a volume to published and Aether mints a private slug others can read in a clean, distraction-free viewer, with downloads if you allow them.

·Shareable reader link
·Unpublish any time
·Reader-side downloads

A study that knows the hour

With your permission the 3D study room shows your local weather beyond the window, a desk clock ticking every second and a wall calendar on today's date.

·Live weather from your location
·Clock updating each second
·Calendar rolling over daily

Atmosphere on purpose

Lamplight flickers, dust drifts through the sunbeams, plants sway, and the wooden shelf lets you pull a volume out and open it, with sound.

·Synthesised page and shelf sounds
·Natural lighting variation
·Gentle camera movement
